What is a Summit Online conference?

A five day adventure that prepares students for life’s twists, turns, and exhilarating moments. Picture yourself at the wheel, navigating through discussions led by world-class authors, theologians, apologists, and philosophers.

This isn’t your typical online gathering. Summit Online is your roadmap to understanding the Christian worldview and how it shapes every aspect of existence. From whimsical to practical to profound, our sessions cover it all, preparing you for the obstacles, challenges, and adventures awaiting in the real world.

But here’s the exciting part: You’re not just a passenger on this journey. With direct access to speakers and interactive Q&A sessions, you shape the direction of the conversation. Dive deep into topics that matter most to you, and connect with fellow travelers who share your curiosity and convictions.

What if my student doesn’t want to take another online learning class?

Summit Online is designed to be fast-paced, interactive, and eye-opening. Students who are sick of pre-recorded lectures and Google meetups will be amazed at how much they learn, how they get good answers to their questions, how many new friends they make, and how quickly the time goes.

Summit Online meets each morning and each evening, with plenty of breaks. Students will have a chance to interact with speakers, have discussions with like-minded friends, compete in contests, participate in video submissions, and more.

Compared to the slow, lumbering e-learning most students have experienced, Summit Online will feel like a drive through the mountains with the top down.

Is the 5-day program new?

No.
We’ve been conducting online conferences since the need to pivot amidst
the pandemic in 2020. The conference was so successful, unique, and
well received that we’ve continued to host it each year since with
modifications and improvements along the way.

What topics will be covered during the course of the week?

  • Various Worldview
  • Truth
  • Apologetics topics – Why Christianity? Is belief in God reasonable? Is the Bible trustworthy and reliable?
  • Sexual ethics and controversial topics – Marriage, homosexuality, transgerism, pornography, abortion
  • Daily Life topics – Identity, Will of God, Leadership, Evangelism
  • and much more…

What technology does my student need?

Each student needs a computer or tablet, equipped with a camera so they can see and hear multiple participants simultaneously. Smartphones are not recommended. A fast, reliable internet connection is required.

How will I log in and view the sessions from my computer?

You will be given guided instructions from the Summit tech team for your personal device for each session.

Will I still receive a college scholarship for attending Summit Online?

The following colleges will accept the Summit Online completion certificate:

  • Asbury University
  • Friends University
  • Gutenburg College
  • Lancaster Bible College
  • OneLife Institute
  • Taylor University

Can I attend Summit Online if I have attended a Student Conference?

Yes, while some content may seem redundant there is much more Q&A built into Summit Online providing a unique experience each time. There are also many different lecture options, for example, there may be a conversation about evangelism and God’s will going on at the same time in different virtual rooms. Choose which one and have more opportunities to ask questions of the faculty member.  Of course, you will receive all of the lectures you missed after your Summit Online.

Does this course replace Summit’s two-week Student Conference?

No. Summit Online is intended to be a unique experience not dependent on our live conference. There may be a little content overlap, but this is not a replacement. Rather, this is a distinct and innovative way to excite the next generation to champion a biblical worldview.

Will I be able to receive a college scholarship through Summit Online?

We are currently in communication with the scholarship colleges to confirm whether they will accept the completion certificate for Summit Online.

Is there an age limit on Summit Online?

Summit Online is designed for 13-to-21-year-olds as well as parents that would like to accompany their students.
