Poll: Majority of Americans Say People Should Not Compromise Religious Beliefs For Sake of “Woke” Culture

(Manitou Springs, CO—December 20, 2022) Summit.org, in partnership with McLaughlin and Associates—one of America’s most respected polling survey firms—is releasing the results of a recent national survey. Results were from a survey of 1,000 likely general election voters nationwide and was conducted December 9th and December 14th.

“As Christians prepare for a season of celebrating the birth of Jesus, many see their convictions about marriage, gender, and the value of human life are under attack from a shame-based ‘woke’ culture,” said Dr. Jeff Myers, President of Summit.org and the author of the new book Truth Changes Everything: How People of Faith Can Transform the World in Times of Crisis. “But these polling numbers show that Americans as a whole strongly support freedom and reject the left’s attempt to enforce its narrow viewpoints on people of faith.”

All interviews were conducted online; survey invitations were distributed randomly within predetermined geographic units. These units were structured to correlate with actual voter turnout in the general election. This poll of 1,000 general election voters has an accuracy of +/- 3.1% at a 95% confidence interval.
