“Before Summit I knew what I believed. After Summit I knew why I believed it.”
GA Conference Student 2023, GA Conference Summer Staffer 2024, 2025
Tyler always had a passion for following Christ, but prior to attending his first Summit conference, he struggled to defend his faith. “If I was pressed on why I believe the things I believe, I wouldn’t have been able to go very deep,” reflects Tyler.
While he was a Summit student, Tyler listened to speakers who challenged his approach to faith and equipped him with tools to defend it. Post-Summit, Tyler used this worldview knowledge in his role as a traveling intern with a worldview organization called TeenPact. In this role, Tyler interacted with students who had questions about their faith, and he used the logic he had learned at Summit to direct them to biblical truth.

In your 20s, it’s easy to chase what looks good instead of what lasts. Success. Security. Significance. Comfort. Control. These aren’t bad things—but when they become ultimate things, they quietly take the place of God.

The Summit Gap Year is a nine-month residential program for students ready to pursue deep intellectual formation, spiritual growth, and leadership development. Students engage in rigorous study, mentorship, and hands-on experience as they learn to live faithfully and thoughtfully in every sphere of life.
We live in a culture of confusion, hostility, and doubt. At Summit Ministries, we’re not afraid of the questions your teens are asking about sex, meaning, purpose, God, and faith. We work to provide a space for these students to wrestle with these questions while we help them build a framework for embracing God’s truth and championing a biblical worldview at home, in school, or in the marketplace of ideas.
