Resources for Homeschoolers

Homeschooling is an enormous and admirable task that many supporters of Summit Ministries take on. We are big supporters of homeschooling as well. Below, you’ll find some ways that we support and offer resources for homeschool children and their families.

Events and Conferences

Student Conferences

For over 60 years, we have equipped students ages 16-22 to defend, own, and live out a Biblical Worldview. Summit’s Student Conferences create a space for teens to wrestle through their questions about life and faith, equipping them to become confident in their convictions and better ambassadors for Christ.

Year after year, our conferences are attended by many homeschooled students. It is an excellent opportunity to engage with like-minded students eager to ask big questions and discover what it truly means to live with purpose.

Summit Online

Our innovative online program will give you the tools you need to build a confident faith. Our world-class Christian faculty and immersive online experience invite you into a larger story and strengthen your faith.

Gap Year Program

Participants will spend the first semester on an inward journey, removed from the chaos of the world and the familiarity of home, being challenged in theology and critical thinking, community life, and practical living. The transition to the second semester will mark a turn in the road. Students will leave the retreat, sequestered setting into an urban environment where they will put into practice the life and learning of the first three months now engaged with the world as ambassadors of Christ. The students will graduate to return home, having made a year-long journey of finding their way to a new perspective.

Curriculum

Summit Ministries produces industry-leading Bible curriculum for Christian schools across the country. For decades, thousands of families have adapted this material for use in the home. We love hearing stories of families who have used our curriculum to develop a foundation of truth in God’s word and discover how to live out their faith with confidence.

We also acknowledge that our curriculum has not been written with the home in mind. Because of this, using our material outside of a classroom can come with challenges. We have compiled and answered frequently asked questions (available for download) about using our curriculum at home. You may call us with questions. However, because of our small team, and the design of the curriculum, we cannot offer significant support for those wishing to use our curriculum at home. You can, however, find curriculum that we often recommend, along with a few Summit-specific materials.

Secrets of Great Communicators

The world is in great need for leaders of all ages to step up.  Leadership, great communication, and influence are keys to becoming a great leader.  Each learning kit comes with access to videos, teacher resources, and a student text.

What We Believe Series

Our children are bombarded on a daily basis with competing messages. Every song, movie, book, TV show, blog, and game is full of ideas about truth, morality, beauty, identity, faith, and more. Not all of these ideas are true. Some are wrong, some are deceptive, and some are outright destructive. Young children must be equipped to discern among competing ideas and stand firm in the truth. What We Believe is a derivative product of Building on the Rock, published by Apologia in partnership with Summit Ministries.

K–12th Grade School Curriculum

Summit Ministries has developed a Kindergarten through High School Bible curriculum that builds and fosters a lifelong faith. Browse this classroom-based curriculum in our online store.

Mission 2:20 Sunday School Curriculum

Mission 2:20 is a church curriculum for elementary students. Ideal for weekend classes, Wednesday nights, or supplemental home lessons. Each lesson is written at age-appropriate levels for early, middle, and upper elementary students. It is easy to teach and takes students through two years of material during the fall, winter, and spring seasons.
