Train the Trainer Conference

September 20-24, 2026

Build a Campus Where Biblical Truth Shapes Every Classroom

Join Dr. Roger Erdvig and Dr. Maggie Pope at Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs for a three-day immersive experience designed to equip Christian school leaders to cultivate lasting cultures of biblical worldview formation.

Surrounded by the beauty of Glen Eyrie’s historic grounds and red rock canyons, you’ll step away from the demands of daily leadership to focus on the long-term spiritual formation of your students and faculty.

You won’t leave Train-the-Trainer with just new ideas. You’ll leave with the confidence and practical tools to lead meaningful change on your campus. Through hands-on coaching and collaborative learning, you’ll discover proven approaches for training and mentoring fellow educators, helping create a culture where biblical worldview formation is embraced school-wide. You’ll receive personalized feedback on your implementation plans, ensuring your next steps are realistic, strategic, and tailored to your school’s unique needs.

And because lasting transformation doesn’t happen in a single event, you’ll benefit from meaningful follow-up and ongoing support as you return to campus and begin putting your plan into action.

Conference Speakers

Dr. Roger Erdvig is the Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview Formation. Having researched and developed expertise in biblical worldview formation for over 30 years, Roger is a leading voice in the biblical worldview movement. Roger is the author of the book, Beyond Biblical Integration, which has been studied by tens of thousands of educators across the globe and has become a standard text for university educational foundations courses.

Dr. Maggie Pope, Associate Director of Worldview Education at Summit, has spent over 20 years as a teacher, educational leader, curriculum developer, and trainer. She is passionate about the educational and spiritual training of children and young adults, recognizing the great importance of intentional efforts to shape the biblical worldview of the next generation. Maggie brings to her work a wealth of experience in coaching educational leaders. Maggie’s doctoral dissertation featured new research on the efforts of Christian school leaders to equip their faculty to focus on Biblical worldview formation as the central priority of teaching and learning.

GETTING THERE

Colorado Springs Airport is our recommended airport based on ease and proximity. The airport is 17 miles and roughly 25-minutes away from Glen Eyrie. Uber/Lyft is readily available and rental cars are also available on site at the Colorado Springs airport.

Denver International Airport is 85 miles from Glen Eyrie, which can involve a 90- to 135-minute commute. A rental car or shuttle service (such as Grooms) will be necessary for those flying into Denver. For participants renting vehicles, parking on the grounds is available

DRESS CODE & SUGGESTED ATTIRE

For the training sessions, business casual attire (yes, jeans) is appropriate. Colorado Springs can be 35° one day, and 80° the next day (and sometimes that kind of swing in one day!) The best advice for packing is to plan to dress in layers. Some days you might need to quickly change between three layers.

WHAT TO BRING

In addition to your personal items (clothing, etc.), you will need a laptop or tablet. Also, bring your personal copy of Beyond Biblical Integration. We recommend bringing a refillable water bottle to help you stay hydrated at the elevation in Colorado.

EVENT DAY/TIME AND LOCATION

Check-in for this event is on Sunday, September 20, at 4 PM. The event is hosted at Glen Eyrie Castle and Conference Center, located at 3820 North 30th Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80904.  Check-out is on Thursday, September 24th, by 11 am.

ACCOMMODATIONS & LODGING

Guests will be provided with a private room in either the Glenview or Oaks lodge on the Glen Eyrie campus. Rooms have two queen beds and a private bath. Each lodge is equipped with a common-area fridge and a microwave. Meals are held in the Castle, and participants can submit dietary needs at registration.

COLORADO ALTITUDE

Living in an alpine desert environment means that hydration is crucial to enjoying your stay. A week before traveling, make sure you drink plenty of water. Consider adding electrolyte mixes to your water, such as Liquid IV. Keep drinking plenty of fluids throughout your trip to avoid altitude sickness symptoms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who should attend?

We require at least two attendees from each school. This aligns with our approach to training and with long-term sustainability on campus. We recommend sending at least one decision-maker. Other attendees should be well respected by peers, willing to train and support teachers, and passionate about biblical worldview immersion. Individuals with a leadership role in academics or spiritual formation are BOTH great candidates.

Can I come for just part of the time?

At least two attendees must be present for the entire conference for the school to be licensed to use Summit’s biblical worldview immersion training materials. Please make travel arrangements accordingly.

What is the format of the Train-the-Trainer conference?

Our time together is a carefully designed 3-day intensive built for attendee participation and collaboration. It is NOT hours of lecture. You can expect to:

  • Increase your knowledge and understanding of biblical worldview formation and immersion
  • Learn strategies for planning and delivering BWI training modules
  • Participate in portions of BWI training modules by Dr. Roger Erdvig and Dr. Maggie Pope with immediate Q&A sessions.
  • Participate in professional leadership coach training to develop skills for supporting teachers who are implementing BWI in the classroom
  • Learn how to lesson plan for biblical worldview formation
  • Explore Summit’s Standards for Biblical Worldview Formation as a tool to support individual and system-wide worldview formation implementation
