Student Conferences: Virginia
The cost for the program is the same for each location: $795.00. This includes a non-refundable $75.00 deposit, tuition, housing, meals, speaker fees, insurance, most outings, class picture, and a notebook containing lecture notes as well as related articles. Please complete the Student Conference Application form to begin the application process. After your application has been approved, you will receive an acceptance letter in the mail.
Student Conferences: Virginia
Summit Virginia is located on the Liberty University campus in Lynchburg, Virginia. The following is a list of directions from various key locations.
Regarding proper arrival times, please make reservations to arrive on the first Sunday of your session, between 8am and 6pm (check-in hours), if possible. Shuttle service is $30. Regarding departures, please make arrangements to leave in the afternoon/evening (after 1pm) on the second Friday of the session.
There are a variety of hotels available for parents if you are staying overnight.

- Take I-79 South towards Morgantown, West Virginia
- Turn onto US-19 South towards Summerville/Beckley
- Turn onto I-64/77
- Merge onto US-11 south towards Buena Vista
- Turn onto US-501 South/Lynchburgh Expy
- Follow the signs to Liberty University
- (Approx. travel time is 6 hours and 30 minutes)
From Lexington, KY
- Take I-64 E towards Winchester/Ashland
- Continue on I-64 into Charlston, WV
- Merge onto I-64 East/I-77 South past Beckly, WV
- Merge onto I-64 East and continue towards Lexington, VA
- Turn onto I-81 South
- Turn onto US-11 south towards Buena Vista
- Turn onto US-501 south/Lynchburg Expy
- Follow signs to Liberty University

- Take I-85 north towards Greensboro
- Merge onto US-29 north towards Reidsville/Lynchburg
- Once in Lynchburg, follow signs to Liberty University

- Take I-40 East towards Ashville
- Merge onto I-81 east towards Bristol
- Merge onto US-220 towards Cloverdale
- Turn onto US221 north/ US 460 E
- Merge onto US 460 east towards Lynchburg
- Once in Lynchburg, follow the signs to Liberty University

- Merge onto US 460 West towards Lynchburg

Wingate Inn by Wyndham
The Wingate Inn is Lynchburg's Premier Hotel and is within walking distance to Liberty University. The hotel features a 40-item hot breakfast buffet, heated indoor pool and a 15 person Jacuzzi, on-site Nautilus Fitness Center, and free high-speed internet access. Extended Stay America
The Extended Stay America Lynchburg is the newest hotel in Lynchburg and is within walking distance to Liberty University. Each of our rooms feature a fully-equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, microwave oven, two burner stovetop, coffee maker, toaster, cookware and utensils. We also offer free local calls, free voicemail, and wireless high-speed Internet. Coin operated laundry facilities and vending machines are located on the fist floor for out guests. The Student Conferences are not all work; so bring your softball glove, tennis racket, and frisbees!
Enjoy recreation time in the lovely foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the historic region of the James River.
Conference participants will have the opportunity to play paintball in the woodlands of Lynchburg ($30.00 extra), ice skate in a rink located on Liberty campus ($8.00 extra) or tube down the historic James River ($25.00 extra).
We also play baseball, basketball, football, soccer, tennis, volleyball, swimming and track/field.
Student Conferences: Virginia
- 1. What age can attend?
- The ideal age is college freshman. The average age is between 18 and 22; the youngest students are 16.
- 2. Are there any scholarships available?
- Thanks to an endowment fund set up by a Summit financial supporter, scholarships are available for a portion of the Student Conferences tuition. The scholarships are based solely on financial need and funds are limited. To request an application, please call us at 719.685.9103 .
- 3. What is the dress code?
- Students are encouraged not to dress "raggedly" while in classroom. Female students should not wear tops with thin straps, tops that reveal midriffs, or two-piece bathing suits.
- 4. What about alcohol and tobacco?
- Students of any age are not allowed to consume alcohol while attending the Summit; those students that are of age and smoke can do so only at designated smoking areas.
- 5. Do you help organize carpools for students to travel to the conference?
- Summit provides the carpool forum for students to post requests for carpooling to their respective conference.
