Tennessee Session Two- 7/20/09

Tennessee Session Two- 7/20/09

This is my first year to attend Summit and as the official first day, it has been a blast. Today's experience at Summit was, for lack of better terms, mind boggling. So much information was squeezed into one day ranging from the worldviews all around the globe to why we experience pain and suffering. While I sought to learn new facts about God and Scripture, the sessions throughout the day took knowledge that I had a simple understanding of and allowed me to see it from a different angle. An example is the comparison between Good and Evil, and Light and Darkness. Where I believed that Evil was in a sense its own entity, it was taught tonight that Evil is not its own. Darkness is the absence of Light and so it is with Good and Evil. Evil is the absence of Good. While the sessions are truly thought provoking, another blessing is my small group. The men in my group come from all walks of life, but the brotherhood and closeness of our group amazes me. I am honored to be at Summit this year and I am honored to be under the tutorship of such Godly men as the speakers that we have here. It is my prayer that over these two weeks, every individual at this camp would experience God and that eyes would be opened to the true nature and depth of Almighty God. -Andrew
