Cost: Food and lodging will come at no cost to you. We will provide an opportunity to join in the vision of Summit with a financial gift to the ministry.
Transportation: You will be responsible for transportation to and from The Cove.
Airports: We recommend flying in to Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) (approx. 20 miles) or Greenville/Spartanburg (GSP) (approx. 80 miles)

Brett and Erin Kunkle
Brett is the founder and president of MAVEN. He co-authored A Practical Guide to Culture: Helping the Next Generation Navigate Today’s World. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education from Biola University and his masters degree in philosophy of religion and ethics from Talbot School of Theology.
Erin is a speaker and co-host of the MAVEN Parent Podcast. She also co-hosts the Strong Women Podcast for the Colson Center. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Biola University and is a veteran homeschooling mom of 14 years.
Brett and Erin have been married over 20 years and live in Southern California with their five kids and two granddaughters.
Brad and Marilyn Rhoads
Brad and Marilyn cofounded Grace Marriage, a marriage ministry that provides curriculum and proactive discipleship pathways for churches to minister to couples.
Brad and Marilyn have been married since 1996. They have five children and live in Kentucky.
Brad graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Furman University and played on the varsity tennis team. He graduated Order of the Coif (top 10%) from the University of Kentucky College of Law., and practiced as a full-time attorney for over 20 years.
Marilyn graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. in Psychology from Lipscomb University, completed her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana and counseled at Counseling Associates before leaving the practice to be home with her children.
Dr. Jeff and Stephanie Myers
Dr. Jeff Myers is president of Summit Ministries. As an educator and entrepreneur, Dr. Myers has become one of America’s most respected authorities on youth leadership development. Focus on the Family founder James Dobson referred to him as “a very gifted and inspirational leader.” Evangelist Josh McDowell called him “a man who is 100% sold out to preparing the next generation to reflect the character of Christ in the culture.” Through his speaking engagements and media appearances Dr. Myers has become a fresh voice offering humor and insight from a Christian worldview. He is the author of 14 books, including Understanding the Faith, Understanding the Times, and Understanding the Culture textbooks which are studied by tens of thousands of students. Dr. Myers holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Denver. He continues to engage college students and adult learners by serving as a trustee of Colorado Christian University and through a Signature Leadership Course offered by Pearson Education, which serves the training needs of many Fortune 100 companies.
Stephanie loves breathing encouragement and life into people, and supporting Jeff is her heart beat! She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of New Mexico and worked for a New Mexico Congressman & Senator. She loves all things outdoors and dreams about customizing a van with Jeff and traveling the U.S. or building a cabin off the grid.

Will you offer transportation to the Cove? Unfortunately, we are unable to offer transportation to and from The Cove. We recommend flying in to Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) (approx. 20 miles) or Greenville/Spartanburg (GSP) (approx. 80 miles)
When should we arrive? Check in at the Cove will be at 3pm on Thursday, March 2nd. Please note that you will not be able to arrive on the Cove property prior to 3pm.
When should we leave? Check out at the Cove is at 10am on Sunday, March 5th.
Can I stay additional days? Unfortunately we are not able to offer additional nights outside of our scheduled event March 2-5, 2023.
What should we wear? Conference attire is casual. Weather in Asheville, NC can vary. We recommend bringing layers. You will have time to enjoy all the beautiful scenery that Asheville has to offer; walking or hiking shoes are recommended.
