Stewardship – Modernization – Expansion for Future
Phase 1 Capital Goal: $15 Million

The Problem: Growing Mission, Outgrown Space

Summit Ministries has never been more in demand. Students are hungry for truth. Existing programs are at capacity. Families and churches are seeking out biblical worldview training. Our training programs for educators and influencers are growing rapidly.

Yet our facilities can no longer keep pace. Our headquarters building, The Grandview Hotel, was built in the 1890s with the intent of hosting 60 people at a time, for three months a year. For decades we’ve hosted hundreds of people at a time for half of every year.

Our iconic 130-year-old building desperately needs renovation. Over the last 15 years we’ve replaced as much of the infrastructure as we can without an extended shutdown period. This includes a total rebuild of the kitchen, dining, and classroom facilities, heating and insulation of the facility, new windows, outdoor entertainment spaces, parking, extensive fire safety additions, and handicap accessibility.

The Impact: Elevated Facilities, Multiplied Mission

By overhauling the facilities, we will improve the quality of the building to match the quality of the programs we offer. We will also open six additional months of capacity for what we call “multiplier” events with educators, ministry leaders, and influencers. These dramatically expand Summit Ministries’ impact and transform The Grandview Hotel into a nerve-center for biblical worldview leadership for the next 50 years.

Case Study #1:

60,000 X impact. In September we used the hotel to train 20 leading Christian educators. Each of these, in turn, will mentor 20 other educators to ground every aspect of the academic experience in biblical truth. The average teacher has a lifetime impact on 3,000 students. At a minimum, the “multiplier” impact of this one event is an additional 1.2 million students trained in a biblical worldview.

Case Study #2:

500,000 X impact. Dozens of Summit Ministries graduates are best-selling authors and in-demand speakers. They have social media platforms with millions of followers. Imagine gathering them together to help sharpen their message and create synergy. This would be an unprecedented expansion of Summit Ministries’ mission on campuses, in churches, and on the internet.

The Solution:
Building a Home for Generations

Summit Ministries is launching a capital campaign to restore, modernize, and expand our campus—ensuring Summit continues to be a beacon of truth and transformation for decades to come.

Phase 1:

The Grandview Hotel renovation ($15 million). This phase overhauls outdated infrastructure such as electric and plumbing and reconfigures the facility to include 42 rooms with private baths and 14 family suites that can be used year-round. Additionally, this phase provides additional staff housing on land already purchased, enabling us to attract top-tier faculty and staff to operate the expanded programs.

Phase 2:

The Summit Village (between $4 and $5 million). Directly across the street from The Grandview Hotel, Summit Ministries owns and operates the largest cabin complex in Manitou Springs. It features 28 turn-of-the-century cabins used for guest and staff housing. This property needs a total overhaul, with new infrastructure of electric, plumbing, gas, and sewage as well as the rebuilding of 15 cabins that have not yet been renovated. Additionally, this phase sets aside funds to purchase additional homes adjacent to Summit Ministries properties to allow for continual expansion of our programs.

Phase 3:

The Sports/Parking facility (between $12 and $16 million). On a commercial property that Summit Ministries owns adjacent to The Grandview Hotel, this phase constructs a first-class recreational facility with sports courts, a large meeting space, a well-equipped gym, and a coffee bar to help keep students active and engaged with one another. Underneath this facility will be two levels of parking for the influx of educators, ministry leaders, and influencers who we will train year-round.

Phase 1 Closeup: Leveraged Impact

Phase 1 funds the renovation of The Grandview Hotel as a platform for generational discipleship. It elevates the quality of the building to match the high quality of the programs and hospitality that Summit Ministries offers.

  • Complete modernization of guest rooms to include private baths and family suites
  • Six additional months of expanded capacity to host multiplier events with educators, ministry leaders, and influencers
  • Enhanced accessibility
  • One year of operating expenses to kick-start year-round multiplier events
  • Additional units of housing to accommodate growing seasonal and year-round staff needed to operate our expanded programs

A Firm Foundation

A spirit of revival is growing. Young adults are shaking off the anxiety and confusion that have plagued their generation. They are looking for truth. Interest in Summit Ministries is exploding. Our call, for such a time as this, is to prepare rising generations to embrace God’s truth and champion a biblical worldview.

Timing is critical: if the funds for phase one are in place by March 2026, we can hire contractors and begin the renovation work in September of 2026, opening the newly renovated property in May of 2028.
