Tennessee

Summit Summer is a 12-day conference where students can experience spiritual growth as they explore hard topics that help them think deeper about their personal faith and convictions. Students engage with like-minded peers, ages 16-25, and explore answers to hard questions about your faith, purpose, and identity with world-class faculty.

Why Attend Summit in Tennessee?

Summit has held its student conferences in Tennessee since 1996. Summit Tennessee offers everything you can expect from Summit’s signature conference from lectures and faculty open forums to small group discussion time. Nestled in the town of Jackson, on the campus of Union University, students spend two weeks experiencing the campus. Off-campus activities show students the beauty of this southern state as students have the opportunity to float down the Buffalo River, feed the wildlife at Tennessee Safari Park, and play ultimate dodgeball with your new friends at SkyZone. On the second week of the conference, students get to show off their talents during performance night! Watch 2018 session videos!

Union University

Union University will offer a scholarship of $10,000 to any new student that attends the Summit Student Conference and then enrolls as a student at Union. The scholarship will award $2,500 per year for up to four years. Explore Union University programs here.

As of 2018, Summit student conferences partnered with Union University in Jackson, Tennessee (formerly held at Bryan College). At Summit Tennessee, over 15 Christian thought leaders — such as Jeff Myers, Sean McDowell, John Stonestreet, Brett Kunkle, Abdu Murray, and more — will mentor students in apologetics, worldviews, and difference-making, an intensive and fun conference designed to teach students how to analyze the various ideas that compete for their hearts and minds.

Union University is excited to partner with Summit Ministries as we host the 2019 Summit Student Conferences on our campus in Jackson, Tennessee. Summit Ministries has a rich history of assisting young adults as they “connect their faith with a Christian worldview, live it out, and lead others to do the same.” In many ways, this directly aligns with Union University’s mission to provide Christ-centered education that promotes excellence and character development in service to Church and society. We are confident that Summit Ministries and the Student Conference participants will feel right at home with the Christian community and southern hospitality offered by the people and place of Union University. We pray, even now, that the Lord will do a mighty work through Summit Ministries in the lives of its students as they are prepared to stand for truth and justice and to serve Christ and His Kingdom.Samuel W. “Dub” Oliver, Ph.D. President of Union University

If your youth group or school sends students together, the leader of the group may call 866.SUMMIT3 to receive group-specific Summit Vouchers.
