The Internet & The Soul [Free Webinar]

Paige GutackerIs there a Christian way to engage with technology? While placing ever-increasing demands on our time, many of our time-saving devices are putting up walls between us even as they promise to connect us further.

At Summit, we believe that your worldview — the set of lenses through which you see the world — impacts every aspect of how you live your life. And that worldview reflects not just the ideas you hold but also the practices in which you engage most deeply.

In this month’s Summit Forum at 11 a.m. (MDT), Tuesday, October 25, Summit Alumni Director Paige Gutacker will be sharing about Christian formation and the worldview-tug of Internet-enabled technologies.

The webinar has passed — watch the replay of The Internet & The Soul here.

Paige will look at how the Internet challenges our ability to concentrate, remember, and empathize…all three of which are crucial aspects of what it means to be human. She will also present findings from studies on the effects of e-reading vs. paper reading, handwriting vs. typing notes, and on-screen vs. in-person relationships. And, as always, we’ll leave plenty of time to take questions from the audience.

If you think Christians should care about submitting every aspect of our lives to the Lordship of Christ, tune in for our conversation on “The Internet & The Soul”.

The Summit Forum is a monthly webinar presented by the Summit Alumni Network that brings biblical insights by Christian thought leaders right to your home, wherever you are.
