The Intellectual Bankruptcy of the New Atheism

I think I am very close to concluding that this whole “New Atheism movement is only a passing fad—not the cultural watershed its purveyors imagine it to be, but simply one of those occasional and inexplicable marketing vogues that inevitably go the way of pet rocks, disco, prime-time soaps, and The Bridges of Madison County. Why do food processors put a certain quantity of salt in their products? The answer is the people who buy their product like it and they earn profits by pleasing customers. The FDA has taken the position that what the American buying public wants is irrelevant. They know what's best and if you disagree, they will fine, jail or put you out of business.

Evidence for the Early Dating of the Gospels

How do we know what we know about Jesus? How can we be sure that we can trust what we have been told about Jesus? It's important for us to determine whether or not the documents we know as the "gospels" are, in fact, true eyewitness accounts of the life of Jesus Christ.

Why the Humanities Matter

Before the next wave of “school reform gets too far along, Christians need to inject the classical and Biblical view of the nobility of humankind, as the image-bearers of God, and the importance of the humanities in helping us to discover our full potential in serving God and our fellow men.
