Should it be to transform society to reflect the kingdom of God and biblical values — to defend life and marriage, to end poverty and injustice — or should it be to evangelize the lost and disciple each other?

Professional golfer Tiger Woods recently made a public apology for his marital infidelities that was televised around the world. It brought up the question: When we offend God and others through our actions or words, what is the biblical way to apologize?

We'll compare and contrast portions of Woods' apology with notable ones in Scripture, namely, King David and the prodigal son. If we are to obey the command to live with a conscience void of offence towards God and men, we must know how to apologize . . . the biblical way.
