In this lecture series, Calvin Beisner speaks to the main concerns of environmentalism. Part 1 addresses the issue of pollution, and the idea that humans are basically consumers and polluters, thus believing it is necessary to control economic and population growth. In Part 2, Beisner discusses climate issues including global warming and rising carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. Part 3 includes a discussion of species extinction, and Part 4 confronts radical enviromentalism, including a discussion of the three main radical groups: the green party, ecologists and the animal rights movement.
