When Men Are the Victims

When Men Are the Victims

Last week, I talked about William Bennett’s fiery diatribe on directed at men. He claimed men are in trouble, especially when you consider the number of hours they play video games and how so many are unwilling to commit to marriage or leadership.

Well, not everyone agrees. Several defensive men claimed that our attention should be on the high unemployment rate, the high divorce rate, and an unfair court system that always favors women over men when it comes to child custody and money.

I can grant that each of these things are realities, but for the life of me, I’ve no idea how this changes the fact that the average 18-34 year old man spends more time playing video games than teenagers do and the end age of adolescence is now considered to be 30 for males.

Are there things that are unfair? Of course. Does making excuses help? Not at all. In fact, I think it’s further evidence that Bennet was right and that men are, in fact, in trouble. Tell me what you think at I’m John Stonestreet.
