Unbelievable
How Could This Be Any Clearer?
How mystifying it was this morning to read that among the legislation that the recently emboldened Democratic congress hopes to pass quickly is the loosening of Bush's restrictions on embryo-destructive stem cell research.
You've got to be kidding me. . . Bush's actions on the stem cell issue is one of the few issues of his presidency where it could be said that he was unequivocally right!
I don't need to list all of the reasons here. They have already been communicated better than I could. For a clear, readable, and comprehensive case on why there exists absolutely no sane reasons to pursue embryo-destructive research, read "Stem Cells: A Political History" by Joseph Bottum and Ryan Anderson from the November issue of First Things.
