The Invisible Kingdom
We are using some new language around here. For the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.
In my weekly YouTube video series, I’ve looking at all of the “re” words of Scripture that describe the impact of Christ. You know, words like: renew, repent, reconcile, redeem, regeneration. Looking around culture, we can begin to ask “what re word needs to be applied here?” If something is broken, it needs to be restored. If there is perpetual sin, we need repentance. If there is family breakdown, there needs to be reconciliation of relationships.
My guests this week on "BreakPoint This Week" are examples of this thinking. In a culture where life is seen as dispensable, Dr. Russell Moore has led a national conversation on how adoption reflects the work of Christ in the world. Todd Wagner and the staff of Watermark Church looked around Dallas and said marriage needs hope, not just out there but here, in this city.
These are examples of Christians “making the invisible kingdom visible,” a concept we’ll explore at this year’s Wilberforce Weekend in DC. Come to thePointRadio.org, to learn how to join us. I’m John Stonestreet.
