Save us from the Cheerleaders!
Somebody needs to stop these cheerleaders… For the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.
There’s a real problem down in Texas. According to reports, last week, cheerleaders are out of control. Are they partying after the game? No. Do they have some sadistic version of a female fight club as a hazing ritual? No, It’s even worse than that.
Cheerleaders at Kountze High School in Beaumont, TX are putting – brace yourself - Bible verses on signs at football games. And this comes only weeks after the Freedom from Religion Foundation discovered churches were providing pre-game meals for high school football teams in Texas. To those concerned about our impressionable children, it must sound like Texas is out-of-control.
Well, all kidding aside, a Texas judge has ruled to allow the signs. And I wonder if these groups will now spend energy fighting real problems, like the 13 New York City high schools that are dispensing Plan B to students as young as 14 without notifying their parents. Come to thePointRadio.org, I’m John Stonestreet.
