Join the Movement
The Occupy Wall Street protests which began two weeks ago with less than a dozen college students in New York City has gained momentum. Over 700 protestors were arrested over the weekend, and similar demonstrations have popped up in Los Angeles, Chicago, Columbus, Boston, and other cities. Their message? Things are broken– Wall Street, the environment, society, the list of complaints goes on and on.
Their solution? Well, none have been offered.
Another movement started two Saturdays ago. Several thousand people gathered in churches and groups across America for The Doing the Right Thing simulcast. This movement also reflects the belief that things are broken, but this movement is different. The Doing the Right Thing movement identifies that the central problem is an ethical collapse, and the panel - of Chuck Colson, Del Tackett, Robert George, and others - didn’t just curse the darkness. It offered a road map out of the mess. This is a movement worth joining. Come to ThePointRadio.org to learn how. I’m John Stonestreet.
