Jason Biggs and Extended Adolescence
He’s the same in the movies as he is in real life. For the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.
Jason Biggs is a successful actor, if by that you only mean someone who has been in movies that have made money. His fame and money came from the raunchy American Pie movies, whose over-sexed and over-gross humor appealed exclusively to those trapped in extended adolescence.
In fact, Biggs seems to be the poster boy of extended adolescence. Now 34 and engaged, his press this week came from the sexually perverted things he tweeted about the wives of Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney, and the worse things his fiancé tweeted about 8 year girls who watch Nickelodeon (the children’s network that is his current employer).
They are so obscene that I couldn’t even quote a part of one on air.
On Tuesday, Nickelodeon condemned his tweets but failed to fire him like he deserves. An indication of adolescence is expecting no consequence for your behavior. If you ask me, Nickelodeon is not only paying Jason Biggs, they’re enabling him. For thePointRadio.org, I’m John Stonestreet.
