Bieber Fever: Some Views Won’t Be Tolerated
The cover of the March 3 issue of Rolling Stone is graced by Justin Bieber. The 16 year old music megastar was discovered on YouTube, mentored by Usher, has a platinum album, and is the first artist ever to have 7 songs from a debut album crack the Billboard Hot 100. The fan frenzy has been called “Bieber Fever.”
But the Rolling Stone article created a different type of fever – an angry one. When asked about abortion, Bieber said “I don’t really believe in abortion… It’s like killing a baby…”
And the backlash came quickly. Ironically, he was vilified by the ladies on the View for having a view on the topic, while others vilified Rolling Stones for asking him such hard questions.
The only thing clear in all this– some answers aren’t politically correct. In a culture tyrannized by relativism and tolerance, some views simply will not be tolerated.
