NCAA Tourney Thoughts
My disclaimer: this really has nothing to do with worldview, apologetics, or leadership. But, how can I let today pass without at least offering a passing nod to the greatest annual sporting event in America? I thought of trying to develop some sort of theological syllogism to justify the addiction I have to the NCAA tournament, but I am not sure I can really justify the fact that I will spend hours watching hoops over the next few weeks, checking scores on the internet, and rushing off various airplanes to find a TV in the airport.
Here is what I love: it is authentic sport and authentic competition. These guys are not being paid. They really compete. It is terrific. It is sort of a microcosm of a world where people actually live like life matters.
Well, that's enough. The first game starts in 30 minutes...
Go Blue Devils!
