My wife and I have two daughters, currently 9th and 6th grade. At which age do you accept registrants? How young may they be to attend? I’m 50 and sure wish this existed when I was in high school.
Summit Ministries is one of the most worthwhile investments in our young people that we have ever encountered! It’s truly a life changing experience!
In the early 1990’s we took 3 of our grandchildren and their friends to Summit for the course.
I attended all of the classes while my husband worked on the grounds maintenance. We stayed in the cottage across the road from the hotel where the classes were held.
We later sponsored any young person in our church that wanted to attend.—and some from other churches in the area.
One father told us it was the best thing that had ever happened for his son.
Another student told us that he got “rewired” while attending the course. I believe he later became a pastor.
Dr. Noble was SO well read and a spellbinding speaker/teacher.
Jeff Myers is the perfect man to follow in his footsteps!
If you see the remains of a lamb carved from a stump across the road from the hotel—it was carved by my husband who has since gone home to be the Lord.
I would highly recommend Summit Ministries to everyone!!
With many fond memories.
As the Director of the Office for Youth Ministry in the Diocese of Owensboro (Roman Catholic Diocese) I would ask:
1) How was this founded and by whom?
2) What faith traditions are represented both by staff and participants?
3) I grew up Protestant, United Methodist to be exact, and I never heard the word “apologetics” until I entered the Catholic Church—-how is this addressed?
4) We have a 5 day Youth Leadership Week and I would love to incorporate the “Biblical World View” into what we are already doing. What I heard in the video is “spot on”....is there a way to find out more and share potential resources?
