Sesson 1 | Day 5
Today was a gorgeous day. The slightly rainy and misty weather added to the beautiful landscape of Colorado. Today began with another wonderful breakfast and Dr. Noebel kicked off the lectures with two of his very insightful and extremely entertaining lectures. The topics that he presented were insights into the idea that, if we want to be a leader, we must be a reader. Also, he shared that we will only get out of life how much we put into it, and how that idea relates to every area of life.
Next we heard from Reverend Alan Crippen who shared the history of the concepts that America was founded on. Then he exhorted us with the story of John Witherspoon and how he positively influenced the culture by following God's call on his life and because of that, was used in amazing ways by God. God took him far beyond his plans because he simply trusted in him.
After and absolutely fantastic lunch, Chuck Asay gave a wonderful and entertaining presentation which included great truths combined with engaging caricatures. His compelling political cartoons are published across the country. Since it was raining this afternoon, sports time was canceled and we were free to do what we wanted around the hotel. Some of us watched the eye opening video "Bella" while others discussed philosophical topics out on the front porch. Still, others slept the afternoon away, catching up on some much needed rest.
After yet another fabulous meal, some of us had question and answer time with Chuck Edwards. We all participated in praise and worship and moved into our evening session with Dr. Noebel. Small group sessions wrapped up our wonderful Thursday.
