Session 7 | Day 12b
Summit is an experience like no other. This is my second summer coming to a Summit conference. I came this year excited for the same experience that I had the previous year. But that’s the thing about Summit: it is always changing and improving. Some of my favorite speakers, like Dr. Bauman and Mike Haley, were there, but they also had some new speakers that I hadn’t heard the previous summer. And I can now say I have new favorites, such as Dr. Frank Turek and Dr. Mike Adams.
The first time I went thought the Summit program, I went home energized and ready to take on the world. Now as Session 7 gets ready for graduation tomorrow evening, I can feel that same excitement in the air. I want to tell my fellow classmates that we have learned so much, but there is still so much that we haven’t. And the true Summit experience is what will take place in our lives once we leave here. But that doesn’t mean we can’t take on the world and be the leaders we want to see in the world. And as Dr. Noebel says, “ If you want to be a leader, you have to be a reader.”
This has been a great start to a new way of discovering what our worldview is and what it truly means. And how other people’s worldviews influence them. Knowing not only our own views but also others’ views is what is truly going to give us an edge in the intellectual battle that is taking place in society today.
