Session 6 | Day 5b

Session 6 | Day 5b

Okay, I’m not your typical writer; I was actually dragged into this, kicking and screaming, by my friend who sits next to me during lecture. But here goes!

The dinner tonight was excellent; it consisted of grilled chicken, broccoli, and salad—very yummy. After dinner, we had the open forum with Dr. Jeff Myers, which gave us the opportunity to ask him more questions in a more personal setting. Shortly afterwards, it was time for worship. We sang our hearts out to the Lord; it was truly awesome to see a room of teenagers lift up their voices in praise.

When we finished singing, Doc Noebel came up and spoke on conflicting worldviews and the awful things we are now accepting into our deteriorating culture. We even learned about animal rights—did you know that cows can now sue their owners? Shocking, I know.

Next we broke up into our small groups where we shared our testimonies and got to know each other even better. Now everyone has gone off to bed, and I am soon to follow. Summit is truly an unforgettable experience, and I am grateful that the friend who forced me to write the blog also forced me to come to Summit. ☺  Good night!

Scott, glad someone dragged you into this.
You do a fine job w/ the writing.  Keep Summit “alive” as you return to school, by listening for, and pointing out, those “world views” that are sure to pop up in courses from American Literature to Zoology.
