Session 3 | Day 5a
My experience at the Summit thus far has been very beneficial and extremely rewarding. This place is bursting with great things—great speakers, great friends, and great sports.
There are Bible teachers from across the country, and while I have not agreed 100% with all that they have said, they have challenged me and many of my friends to re-evaluate just what it is that we believe. And more importantly, they are not content to leave it at that, but rather they push and exhort me to dig deeper into my faith and determine just why it is that I believe the way I do.
Despite the fact that I have been here only four days, the friends that I have made and am in the process of making are simply amazing. To be in the fellowship of other young believers that have a mutual desire to serve God is a truly one-of-a-kind experience, one that you will find quite rare in any other place. I wish I could take them home with me, but I have found this to be rather problematic.
Being a guy who has never really been into sports, it is quite a compliment for me to say that the sports here are a blast!! No Skill? No problem. If I can do it, you can….that’s pretty much a guarantee.
Before I close, I’d like to relate the best experience that I have had at Summit. In the evenings, we split into small groups of 5-7 students, each with an amazing staff member. During this time, we share personal life experiences and build strong relationships with each other. I am so extremely grateful for the family of Christ! Even though we live states apart, we have a common bond—the love of Jesus Christ.
So everyone, if you have not been to Summit, at all costs, try and carve out a time to come! I praise the Lord that He provided the means for me to attend, and I pray that I will give everything that I learn back to Him!
Everything in Christ and for His glory!
