Session 2 | Day 2
After Mike Adams spoke today, we had our first free time for Summit Session 2. Many kids sat on the porch and relaxed while others spent their time reading. My roommates and I, however, decided to take a walk through downtown Manitou Springs. The smells are as amazing as the town is visually striking. What makes downtown Manitou unique, though, is that every business is locally owned; you’ll find no Starbucks here, or even a gas station for that matter.
Because of this, finding common necessities is nearly impossible, but one would have no problem purchasing leprechaun statues, crystal balls, or Christmas trees (yes, there are stores dedicated solely to Christmas accessories, as well as a store with a wide selection of leprechaun decorations). I couldn’t be more thankful for the bus to Wal-Mart tomorrow!
