Session 1 | Day 10
My name is Brian Nielsen and I am a student here at the Summit. My day began at 6 am when I got up and went through my daily devotions. At 7 am I ate breakfast and then read a book before class.
First up was Dr. Noebel with Bible hour. We went through a Proverb and got three more reasons for why we should study the Bible. Today, after Dr. Noebel, we had Frank Turek speaking on why 'I don't have enough faith to be an atheist.' He went through numerous reasons why it takes so much more faith to be an atheist than it does to be a Christian and believe in God the Creator. Then we had Chuck Edwards speak on how to begin witnessing to people with different world views. He gave us some key questions to ask when bringing up the subject of God and ways of approaching different responses.
At sports time today I played Ultimate Frisbee and soccer. As usual most people were playing volleyball or sitting and reading next to the fields. We came back at about 4:30 pm, ate dinner, played cards and chess and other things while waiting to begin praise and worship time at 7:30 pm. We have Josh Bales here now for the rest of the week leading our worship time. Worship time is very convicting and the lyrics have really been speaking to my heart. After worship we had Dr. Noebel again for our Worldview Analysis hour. Today he spent the hour talking about and proving why atheism is as much a religion as Christianity. We also had Scott Klusendorf come speak on abortion. He gave us some tools that are going to help us defend our pro-life position and bring to light the holes in the pro-choice argument. He spoke until our lights out time and when my room was all in bed our student leader told us a funny story before we went to sleep.
