Session 1 | Day 3

Never in my life have I been so challenged in my faith and encouraged towards the truth. If I could, I would listen to each speaker talk for hours! It seems that no matter how long I listen, there is always more I want to learn. I didn't realize how thirsty I was for the truth.

Today our first session was by Dr. Rod Thompson on the importance of the Scriptures. He challenged us to read the Bible in its entirety. Never do I pick up a book and not read it all the way to the end. So, I asked myself "Why can I never seem to read the Bible all the way through?" That is my first priority when I get home. I am going to read the entire Bible!

After that we heard a lesson from Dr. Noebel. He is the director of Summit Ministries. We heard a lot from him today, but I couldn't believe how fast the time went when I was learning from such great leaders such as Dr. Thompson and Dr. Noebel. So far, none of the speakers have left me feeling bored. They really act like they respect us and they all have a wonderful sense of humor.

Tonight I was forced to look at my self from a different perspective. Our speaker was Mr. Mark Cahill. He was sharing with us on the topic of evangelism. He equipped us with everything we need to know in order to share our faith! I really felt empowered! Summit has already changed my life in the two and a half days I've been here. If you have been thinking about coming to Summit, STOP thinking about it! You need to experience this for yourself.
