Session 3 | Day 2
My day at the Summit has been amazing, and truly a wonderful experience, one that I will never forget. The speakers here are so wise and I have really been blessed by their words and encouragements toward the students. I have been sooooooo overwhelmed, I can't even believe it is just the first day.
Before I came to the Summit, I did not want to come or really have anything to do with coming, however am so blessed to be here. The people here are so great and likeminded, it is refreshing from what I am used to back home. I can already tell that God has touched my life in a special way and cannot wait to see what else He has planned while I am here. My parents have always wanted my faith to one day become my own and for me to become a leader, not a follower. That has kinda of been my main focus here at Summit Ministries and to really connect socially with a lot of Christian young people.
Back at my high school, I have really been discouraged by the ungodliness that surrounds my daily life and am so blessed to be here learning to be a light in this ever dark world. I cannot wait to see what the Lord has planned for me in these next couple of weeks and am praying that I will walk away from this whole experience changed, renewed and forced up to serve our Savior with all of my heart and soul. I have already begun to make lifelong friendships and wonderful memories that have changed my life and challenged me in ways that I have never been before. I pray that through my weeks here that I would have a soft heart toward everyone and that I would stand out and be a leader for Jesus Christ.
