Session 3 | Day 6
Life at the Summit today began with fellowship in the dining hall over a delicious meal of biscuits and gravy. Doc began the morning of learning with Bible hour where we discussed important reasons to study the Bible. After a short break, Eric Smith lectured about on the moral compass and how it impacts our lives.
This talk was followed by a brief informational meeting regarding Summit Semester, where I got to share about my wonderful experience. For me, [Mel] Summit Semester was an incredible opportunity to learn about the tough questions we all must deal with, and how to answer them. I also learned about what it means to live in community and how to embrace the body of Christ.
Next, Chuck Edwards stressed the point that worldviews are always in movies and music, and we need to be discerning viewers and listeners. Along with this, how the impact of the media on culture has been distorting our self-image.
This is just a snapshot of of our day. The important thing that we came away with, is that God is in every aspect of our lives and He desires to be Lord over all.
