Session 7 | Day 12

As Summit comes to a quick close, we are all sad but also enjoy looking back on the fun and educational times that we have had for the last two weeks. Although this has been my second time at a Summit camp, I have continued to learn new things.

Today began as a normal day: breakfast, devotionals, and Doctor Noebel teaching the Bible hour. Our first speaker was Doctor Del Tackett. He spoke on America's Godly Heritage and used quotes and examples from the founding fathers. It was interesting to learn that even the most liberal of the founding fathers acknowledged the importance of truth, religion, and absolute morality in American society. After he finished, we enjoyed a warm break time filled with fellowship around the fire, away from the crisp Colorado air. Returning to our class, we were greeted by Jeff Myers who spoke on leadership. Not only was Mr. Myers inspiring, he was also quite hilarious. I was encouraged to discover the areas of my life that I am passionate about. Jeff taught us that these "passions" are often areas where God wants to use us. After lunch and another session, we all headed to the park for a sports day and picnic dinner. The sun was out, the weather was beautiful, and the company couldn't have been better.

Tonight, several people shared their unique testimonies. It's always encouraging to hear what God has done in other's lives. Doctor Noebel also read a few Bible verses and gave an invitation. It was an emotional night and ended in everyone joining hands to pray and thank God for all he has done.

As this second-to-last night comes to a close, I look forward to our day tomorrow. I know that it will be packed with surprises, things to learn from, and even more memories waiting to be made. Yet, at the same time, I can't help but reminisce about the last two weeks, all the knowledge I have gained, and the incredible friendships I have made.
