Session 6 | Day 3

Today is the second full day of Summit and it was amazing as usual. First off was morning devotions. Stubbs spoke about God's love for us and how we are to respond to God because of it. Doc spoke on why we should study the Bible this morning as well. He talked about how the Bible is part of world literature and how it had a great influence on western civilization. The Bible has literally changed the face of not just our country but all of the world. Everyone should study it even if they don't believe in the LORD!

Dr. Michael Bauman was the second speaker. I have heard him talk before and he is amazing every time. Dr. Bauman spoke on the trinity and the problem of pain. He really made my brain hurt trying to keep up with his thought process but I think I survived :). I feel as though I learned so much from him. All Christians need to know the reasons for their faith. We must be able to provide an able defense for the hope that we have. Christians don't want to be weenies, as Doc says!!

This afternoon Chuck Edwards spoke on how smart Jesus really was. I had never heard much about how smart Jesus was. Mostly you hear about his other attributes but not his inteligence. If you look at his responses to questions meant to trip him up, you will be amazed. I, for one, need to learn to speak as he did. Christians will never lose a debate if they do this.

Finally, we spent the afternoon with free time at the park. It was a great time of relaxing, playing sports, and just enjoying the outdoors.

Even though this is my second time at Summit, the experience is just as amazing and life changing as the first. I was a little skeptical about coming again but all those doubts are gone now. And its only the second day...I'm sure that the rest will be a blessing!
