Session 5 | Day 4
Hello from Summit Colorado! Day 4 was an incredibly busy day. In the morning classes we learned from David Wheaton how to defeat the main collegiate dangers. He termed them the Triple Pillars of Sexual Immorality, Drugs/ Alcohol and Humanism. In Kevin Bywater's class, we studied what Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses believe and how it differs from Christianity. For our third morning class, we listened to an incredibly convicting presentation on evangelism by Mark Cahill.
After lunch, we gained some more insights from Bywater about how to witness to our Mormon and Jehovah's Witness friends. Then we took the Bible Exam. I was raised in a Christian home, and I am a PK (pastor's kid), so I figured that I would know the Bible. I was dead wrong. The exam, as well as the sessions on cults and evangelism, opened my eyes to how much I need to learn exactly what is in the Bible and exactly where it is.
In the afternoon Mark Cahill held an open forum about evangelism. Praise and worship was amazing as usual. I have really enjoyed the opportunity to praise God with song and look forward to doing it every night for the next two weeks. After worship Dr. Noebel lectured on "What is a worldview?" In his funny yet very informative way, he explained the fact that all people have a worldview and it determines what beliefs that they hold. We finished up a long but good day with a video that explained the history of the development of the separation of Church and State.
