Session 5 | Day 3

It is only the second day of Summit, but I already feel at home with the staff and other students here. Each day is packed with more learning, fellowship, and yes, even fun than I am accustomed to experiencing in a week. I am amazed at the stature of the guest speakers. One in particular is the renowned Dr. Duane Gish. Dr. Gish has been defending the theory of creation for decades and against the most prominent and most educated evolutionists of today.
This morning we heard Dr. Gish speak on Evolution vs. Creation. He explained how the complexities in many animals require intelligent design and deny evolution. He told us how any fossils found to date have not supported any sign of evolutionary change.
We also heard Mr. Chuck Edwards speak on how today's media influences us and our thinking. So many movies and songs that we find entertaining have a deeper, non-Christian message that we have to watch out for.
Lastly, we heard from David Wheaton, international tennis champion. He told us of the dangers we as Christians will face on the college campus and gave us tools and encouragement to stay faithful to God in the face of temptation.
In short, it was a very eventful and informative day. I can't wait to see what God has in store for us over the next couple of weeks.
In Him,
