Session 5 | Day 2
To Future Students and Student Sick Parents,
The first day of my two week adventure began this morning with a run through Manitou's downtown area. I got back in time for a shower (those who I sat next to in the classroom were VERY thankful) and went off to a hearty breakfast.
The classroom schedule for today focused on the topic of leadership. Dr. Robert Linden proved to be a wise and knowledgeable speaker on the subject. What I enjoyed most about Dr. Linden is that he gave a tangible analysis of leadership and shared how to practice it.
With a tired mind, I was ready for some physical activity. Another student and I hiked up Red Mountain, which is located behind or to the West of Summit's location. The view from the top of Red Mountain was amazing! A group of us are going up there to watch the sun rise sometime this week. It will be sweet.
To my family, love you guys, and Bethany, look for a postcard from me.
