Session 4 | Day 2
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, friends, countrymen, Romans... All of us here at Summit just finished up the first full day at the hotel. It was a great first day filled with great classroom time, full contact Jenga (ok, maybe not full contact), and a fun night out at the famous Flying W Ranch in Colorado Springs.
The first class featured Dr. Robert Linden and his discussion on leadership. He offered some great insights about attitudes, responsibility, goal setting, and the sovereignty of God. Chuck Edwards followed Dr. Linden in beginning to help us answer the question of "What exactly IS a World View". For the final class of the day Kevin Bywater gave a great testimony and lecture about Pseudo-Christian Cults.
We then had a bit of time to relax and bring out our competitive sides in some games in the lobby before heading for some great food and entertainment at the Flying W. We were able to shop and hang out at the working ranch until they saw fit to stuff us with outstanding food and serenade us with such immortal classics as "I'm My own Grandpa".
So far this, my second Summit experience, is shaping up to be outstanding. I really used a lot that I learned last time I was here through my five years of college and I look forward to learning and using even more in the future. We have a great group and are having a lot of fun getting to know each other. Please pray that we grow in grace and knowledge and get plenty of sleep ;)
