Session 4 | Day 13
Last year my parents sent my brother to Summit in Colorado. When he came back he was overflowing with information about the Christian worldview and other popular beliefs . Immediately my parents announced that they would send me at the end of my senior year in the coming summer. When it came time to register, I was angry that my parents still wanted to send me, despite the fact that we had just completed one of Dr. Noebel's homeschool curriculums.
On July 8th I arrived at Summit with a less than joyful attitude. Immediately I made friends with my three wonderful room mates, Melinda, Katie and Diana. On SUnday night the lectures began and I begrudgingly attended the mandatory sessions. To my surprise they weren't as bad as I thought! During the next two weeks I slowly warmed up to every opportunity Summit had to offer including new friendships, small groups and relevant information on today's world. From Mormonism to New Age I enjoyed receiving a refreshes course on what I had learned the year before from Dr. Noebel's books.
In conclusion, I can say that I am grateful to my parents for making me come to Summit. I am thankful to Summit for all the information and challenges they have presented me with. To all of Summit staff and new friends, thank you for letting me be a part of your life.
