Session 2 | Day 8

Today was day eight here at Summit! It has been an amazing experience so far. God is awesome and has continued to teach us new things each day!

After getting a wake up call at 5:15am, I somehow rolled out of bed, got on a bus, and headed out for white water rafting on the Arkansas River. Although the water was around 40 degrees, the weather was beautiful, and I had tons of fun. The rapids were class 3, so they weren't scary but were still fun and exciting. While in our raft, my group of seven talked with the guide about what we have been learning and he played devil's advocate to test our knowledge. We talked about anything from the major six worldviews to making up a cheer for our boat about how much Jesus rocks. LOL. When we finished our rafting, we all got back on busses and headed back to Summit. The views on the way back were so pretty—snow covered mountains and blue skies.

When I got back and got out of my soaking wet clothes, I went down to town with friends. We walked around for awhile and then stopped to get smoothies—YUM. LOL. Then we decided to go back up and had an amazing turkey dinner. The food here is sooo good!

After dinner, we had praise and worship. The music here is great. Almost 180 voices singing with just a guitar is a touching experience without all the distractions. We sang songs like "How Great is Our God" and "How Great Thou Art." Then we heard from Dr. Noebel about religious, economic, political, and educational views. It was very interesting to see where different worldviews stand. Then lastly, we watched a movie about our DNA and how evolution could never happen because how intricate it is.

Summit has impacted my life greatly. I am so thankful to have this experience and to learn so much about our culture and how to counter it and to know what I believe and why. I have learned to stand up for my faith and how to do it. I thank God for Summit and I wish every teen could have this experience. How great is our God!
