Session 2 | Day 6—Take 2!

In the morning we started out with breakfast. The wake up bell rang at 7am. Rising I dressed and strolled down to the cafeteria; where I found a wonderful breakfast of biscuits and gravy from our amazing cooks. Just to let you know we actually get real homemade food. Woooo Whoooo!

After eating breakfast it was time to officially start the day. At 8:15 am we had our daily devotions. This devotion was very touching. The devotion was about when we hear silence from God—meaning that sometimes when life throws us a curve and we don't know what to do we pray, yet we only hear silence from God. It is not that He does not care, for He hears you… but silence sometimes is what we need, it how we learn and grow.

After this emotional devotion we had a session called Bible Hour with Dr. Noebel and then we heard from Mr. Cal Beisner on the subject of global warming. This was quite interesting… one major fact that we learned was that humans will not significantly effect global warming just by breathing. Mr. Cal Beisner continued to speak on other subject entailing environmentalism and economics. As the morning came to a close it was time for lunch.

At around noon we had lunch. Lunch was filled with the buzz of conversations. Students, including myself, were discussing how free time was going to be spent. Many students were going horseback riding or to play paint ball. I myself decide to play paint ball. After lunch was over it was time to load into the buses. About 30 boys and 4 other girls started out on our paint ball adventure. Arriving at the mountain valley where we were to play was very exciting. We all geared up and grabbed a gun. I must say running through the trees being chased by the other team was one of the greatest thrills I have ever experienced. After about 2 hours of fun it was time to go back the Summit. Many of us arrive with no time to take a shower. Our hair and clothes were tainted with blue paint and our bodies covered in bruises. However, most of us were not embarrassed of our appearance. In fact, it was just the opposite, we compared who had the largest bruise!

Upon our arrival back at Summit we enjoyed dinner and an open forum from Mr. Beisner who answered some fascinating question that had lingered in our minds from the earlier lectures. Open forum ended at 7 pm and we had free time. I took a walk down town. Downtown is so much fun. There are cute little stores and amazing chocolate shops. UMMMMM!! Chocolate! Not to mention very interesting, yet kind people. LOL! After I enjoyed my delicious chocolate we had Praise and Worship. I have really enjoyed praise and worship each night. It has allowed me to express how I feel to God. Last but not least we watched a video on the Marxist worldview. The video was an hour long, but it was an hour of wisdom.

All in all the day was very busy, but it was a day that was filled with love and understanding, knowledge and learning. Being at the Summit the past 5 days has already impacted my life in ways that I can not completely explain. Being here has shown me that there is so much more to being a Christian. Its about truly understanding what you believe and being grounded enough to stand up for it. The Summit teaches you how to be grounded and how to stand up for Jesus Christ. For He is the Savior of the World!
