Session 2 | Day 5

Today started out very windy, but God's majesty still shined through! The wind gusts were up to 75 mph! During all of that it was still very sunny and we were ready to learn about God's word. Getting up very early can be difficult for us because we get so little sleep. It really blesses me to see strangers introducing themselves to other people. Coming to Summit forces us to have to come out of our "comfort zone", and meet new people.

Today we heard Dr. Dave and his wife, Mary Jo Nuttings. They both spoke defensively about creation and evolution. They gave several "real–life" examples of animals that completely defy evolution. They showed us how man could NOT evolve from monkeys because Genesis says that man was made in the image of God.

For our free time today, we went to Bear Creek Regional Park and played several different sports. Some ranged from volleyball, basketball, football, ultimate frisbee, and so many more. This is fun because we can play and fellowship with different people and have fun at the same time! It was very cold when we played, but our friendship and comradery warmed us up. We also enjoy going downtown with our newly aquainted friends. Several students used their time downtown to witness to those who don't know the love of God. It makes us feel really good to know that we are helping them to know about the salvation of God.

One of my favorite things to do at Summit so far (although it's all great!) is praise and worship! Singing songs to God and praising Him for everything that He has done for me! Being here just makes me realize how blessed I really am! Today we sang several songs such as "Holy is the Lord", "Ancient of days", and "Holy, Holy, Holy," just to name a few!

I am truly blessed to be attending Summit! Being here is not only preparing me for others, but it's preparing me for myself and my future relationship with Christ! Please continue to pray for our students, and for warmer weather!

P.S. I love you Mom, Dad, and Monye'!
