Session 2 | Day 13

Our time at SUMMIT came to an end today, I am not sure how to feel.
It is a feeling of excitement to go into the world and use the knowledge
that I have gained over the course of the two weeks. But it also means
leaving good friends that were complete strangers to me two weeks ago. At
the moment I am feeling very excited, that might be the constant buzz of
emotion that is going around, or it might possibly be the Cherry Coke
float and ice cream with bacon on it I just had (I'll have to ponder that for
a while). Anyways, Dr. Noebel gave us a final commission-- to apply what we have
learned. Otherwise everything these weeks has just been a fun vacation with the
exception of getting up at seven every morning during the conference.
The speakers can give us information of gold, that could be absolutely life
changing for not only ourselves but for countless individuals as well.
Or it could be hundreds of hours of work for a time to have fun at camp. It is
our choice. It is my prayer that I do not fall into a place of complacency
with the knowledge that I have learned. I am now accountable for what I know.
What happens next is to determine whether the information given to me is wisdom
or knowledge. Wisdom is applicable knowledge, knowledge is simply stored
information. The continents of a hot dog is knowledge (in this instance
ignorance is bliss). Cooking a hot dog to perfection is an example
(obscure possibly) of applicable knowledge. Time will tell whether these two
weeks was worth the time and money of everyone involved. So for those who this
worthwhile, let us unceasingly press on and in the infamous words of Winston Churchill--

"Never, Never Give Up!"
